Flying Carpets is a series of three kinetic objects that move sheets of Kodak clear film over polished aluminum plates. Each clear film contains an image of a space that was once inhabited by the artist. Through a process of encryption, the original content has been transformed into patterns that resemble the geometry of carpets.
