Nils Benedikt Fischer (born 1987 in Dessau) is a visual artist mainly working with self developed projection machines, sculptures and objects. His work focuses on the interconnections of technological sources of image creation and the resulting images, as well as the meanings and narratives that emerge from this interconnection. He primarily uses the form of the projection machine to illuminate mental processes such as dreams or memories and their narrative and identity-forming character, thus creating intimate portraits of individual imaginary worlds.
